2008 Hunting Heritage Banquet Core Package

Come and join in the fun of a local NWTF wild turkey fund-raising banquet. The NWTF banquets are where you can buy exclusive merchandise and have a great time with friends. All the while, you will be raising vital funds for wild turkey conservation and important programs that introduce the outdoors to women, children and the disabled.

“By the Lake” giclee printed on canvas by Bruce Miller
From his home and studio nestled alongside Lake Minnetonka, west of Minneapolis, Minn., wildlife artist Bruce Miller, the NWTF’s 2008 Featured Artist of the Year, captures two white-tailed deer on a frosty morning moments before they bound away into cover. In “By the Lake” two deer, one a trophy buck, the other a wary and mature doe, stand with muscles tensed and on high alert, ready to escape danger at a moment’s notice. This image measures 30 inches by 16 inches, has a linen liner and a wooden frame. Limited edition size: 2,600. Exclusive to NWTF events.

“Mountain Paradise” by Thomas Kinkade
Thomas Kinkade came from a modest background, growing up in a small California town. Since then he’s worked on feature films and co-authored a book on sketching. However, he is best known for his depiction of wildlife scenes. Kinkade’s “Mountain Paradise” is set along a flowing mountain stream with abundant wildlife mere feet from a rustic cabin, gorgeous peaks and fog wafting through the valleys. This image includes a special wild turkey printed remarque in the lower left corner and measures 27 inches by 18 inches, and is matted and framed. Limited edition size: 2,850.

Wooden Clock with Picture Frames
Check the time in style with this handsome clock with picture frames. The clock is designed to hang on the wall, features three brass hooks, quartz movement and comes with photographs of the NWTF’s Legacy statue in which a father, daughter and son celebrate a successful turkey hunt. You can also add your own photos in the 5x7 picture frames. The clock measures 20 inches high by 26.5 inches wide.

Wild Turkey Bench with Cushion
Imagine the beauty of this wild turkey bench under the coat rack in the foyer of your home. The bench measures 47 inches long by 22 inches high by 14 inches deep with metal turkey art accenting the bench and is topped with an upholstered cushion. Exclusive to NWTF events.

“From Humble Beginnings” by Dave Barnhouse
Faith…Family…Flag…Fellowship…and Fun! You’ll get a lump in your throat and chills down your spine when you focus on this image and realize just how far the NWTF has come since the beginning. As the sun begins to set, NWTF members welcome others to the first NWTF banquet. This print is matted and framed. The image size is 29 inches by 15 inches. Regular edition size: 2,600.

Set of Antique-Style Wooden Ducks
This unique blue-winged teal drake by wildlife artist Bill Black shows his skill in creating antique-style, gunning decoys in the tradition of the Master decoy carvers. The wood duck decoy, also by Black, is a replica of a rare early 20th century piece originally produced by Canadian carver Thomas Chambers. This accurate reproduction is a testament to this great carver and is 15 inches long and 8 inches tall. The blue-winged teal decoy measures 13 inches long by 8 inches tall and both have taxidermy grade eyes and a hand painted antique finish.

Resin Wild Turkey Sculpture

1988-2008 NWTF Stamp Frame

Twenty-one turkey stamps, from 1988 to 2008, surround Mark Tunno’s image of two wild turkey toms strutting their stuff on the edge of a field early one spring morning. “Best Friends” by Terry Redlin
There’s no friendship quite like that of a trusted hunting partner, and certainly none like that of a Labrador retriever. In his nostalgic “Best Friends” print, artist Terry Redlin, who announced his retirement last year, captures the moments before nightfall when hunter and retriever are perched atop a hill intently watching their quarry move to roost for the night. Afghan and Pillow Set with Jim Killen’s “Breaktime III”
Whether you are rocking slowly in your favorite chair or nestled snugly on the sofa, you’ll be able to stay cozy with this afghan and pillows featuring Jim Killen’s “Breaktime III.” The afghan measures 52 inches by 69 inches. Picnic Basket

“Evening on the Ice” by Terry Redlin
On a cold evening, the moonlight illuminates a 9-point buck and two does as they lay under a tree overlooking a valley where families are burning firewood in their homes to keep warm. Last year, after a lifetime of artistic achievements, artist Terry Redlin announced his retirement from painting, naming “Evening on the Ice” the final signed print of his career. The print is matted and framed. The image size is 31.75 inches wide by 18.375 inches high. Conservation edition size: 5,000.

Crackle Glass Canister Set (3)

Gun of the Year
For more than 60 years, Weatherby has been recognized worldwide for meshing craftsmanship and beauty with tack-driving performance. The 2008 Gun of the Year is the Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe chambered in the .300 Weatherby Mag. The gun features a high-gloss figured walnut Monte Carlo stock with maplewood spacers and rosewood forend and grip cap. This elegant rifle features a custom floorplate commemorating the NWTF’s 35th anniversary and is consecutively numbered 1 through 2,700.

“Sounds of Autumn” Bronze Elk Sculpture by Terrell O’Brien

“Hightailing It” Bronze White-tailed Deer Sculpture by Terrell O’Brien
This bronze by Terrell O’Brien features a heavy-racked, white-tailed deer evading danger. The bronze sculpture measures 18 inches tall and is mounted on a base 14 inches long and 10 inches wide, which showcases an NWTF logo medallion. NWTF edition size: 2,600. Exclusive to NWTF events.

Team NWTF Framed Mirror
“Hunters are the unsung heroes of conservation.” This colorful bar mirror is ideal for decorating your home or hunting lodge. The mirror shows two successful hunters walking a Western ridge as the sun goes down. The mirror, framed with solid poplar wood measures 32.5 inches wide by 26.5 inches high.

Birch Rocking Chair
Rock your troubles away in this handsome birch rocking chair. Whether you put it on your front porch, your sitting room or at your camp, this comfortable cane-backed chair with bow-style arms and tongue and groove construction is sure to please you and your guests. Cuckoo Clock
The hand-carved wooden cuckoo clock made of native wood is richly detailed in European tradition, features a hand-carved strutting gobbler at the top, has two hand-carved wooden pine cone weights, a wooden pendulum, quartz movement and, instead of chiming, the clock gobbles on the hour. The clock measures 19 inches long by 12.5 inches wide. Exclusive to NWTF events.

1976-2008 NWTF Medallion Collection
Three decades worth of NWTF medallions from 1976 to 2008 make for a unique collector’s item that will look great on display in your home or office. The nickel-silver medallions are set in matting and framed in an attractive mahogany-toned frame. The overall size of the Medallion Collection is 26 inches wide by 18 inches high. The collection is exclusive to NWTF events.

Canoe Bookshelf
Where else would you want to display some of your finest wild turkey memorabilia than on a beautiful canoe bookshelf? Made of eastern white pine with chestnut stain, hand distressed with worn edges, scratches, dents, dings and worm holes add character to this keepsake treasure. This specialty knife is a reproduction of the original, which was handcrafted by award-winning bladesmith and wild turkey enthusiast Larry Page of Aiken, S.C. This 8.25 inch-long work of art is a fixed blade skinner with a resin handle and features Page’s custom laser-engraved mark. Page began making knives in 1983 after watching a television program about knives. Edition size: 2,600.


“A Brother’s Prayer” giclée printed on canvas by Jack Paluh
Sometimes referred to as “the hidden artist,” Jack Paluh captures a bevy of emotions in “A Brother’s Prayer.” This powerful painting portrays a hunter returning thanks after a successful hunt. The hunter wears a soldier’s identification tag around his neck and POW-MIA patch on his sleeve. Meanwhile, a ghostly image of his brother, a Vietnam War era soldier, also pays tribute while clutching the other tag. Through the painting, Paluh recognizes all that American soldiers have given, and continue to give, as they protect and defend our rights, for many have given their lives so that our nation might thrive. “Liberty Flight” giclée printed on canvas by Tom Mansanarez
In “Liberty Flight,” artist Tom Mansanarez boldly captures America’s two strongest symbols of patriotism, the American Flag and a mature bald eagle. Mansanarez has many areas of artistic interest, but wildlife is his most intense focus. In 2005, Mansanarez was the NWTF’s Featured Artist of the Year. “Morning Light - Black Bear” giclée printed on canvas by Greg Alexander. Artist Greg Alexander captures an early fall sunrise as well as the elusive black bear just weeks prior to hibernation in the canvas giclee “Morning Light- Black Bear.” Alexander was the NWTF’s 2006 Artist of the Year and works on a painting for weeks on end from his studio in Ashland, Wis. to master each piece. This image measures 24 inches by 30 inches, has a linen liner and a gold and black frame. Limited edition size: 2,600.

“Gettin’ Ready” giclée printed on canvas by Phillip Crowe
Labrador puppies have a way of getting into mischief and artist Phillip Crowe has a knack for capturing their playfulness. In “Gettin’ Ready” two black lab puppies tussle and tug at their owner’s lanyard of calls in front of a pair of turkey decoys. Crowe enjoys painting what he knows best: the outdoors and wildlife. He attributes his love of the outdoors to his grandfather and father who let him tag along on hunts. This image measures 30 inches by 22 inches, has a linen liner and is framed with black moulding. “In Rut Strut” giclée printed on canvas by Dan Smith
Dan Smith captures an act as old as time on canvas “In Rut Strut” as the patriarch bull elk cruises his harem of cows, unwilling to let any interlopers near his herd. Through paintings like this, Smith’s meticulous attention to detail captures the imagination of critics and collectors alike from his home in southwestern Montana. “Spring Treasures” giclée printed on canvas by Pat Pauley
Pat Pauley’s painting “Spring Treasures” is the first of three paintings in his Trio of Treasures series. The painting depicts three tom turkeys strutting and gobbling their way through a stand of old-growth timber. And, if you look closely, you can also see other springtime treasures - a shed deer antler, morel mushrooms, beautiful spring flowers and a songbird. Pauley, his wife and five children live in western Iowa, where he uses his experiences in the outdoors to bring the natural world to life through his paintings. “Pronghorn Paradise” by Tom Mansanarez
As the sun begins to set, Mansanarez captures the beauty of three pronghorns standing alert before feeding in this Western setting. Mansanarez, who was the NWTF’s 2005 Featured Artist of the Year, has many areas of artistic interest, but wildlife is his most intense focus. The image size is 24 inches wide by 18 inches high and is matted and framed. Conservation edition size: 700.

“Route 66” by Dave Barnhouse
“Get Your Kicks on Route 66.” Through his art, Dave Barnhouse works diligently to recreate the best of times in rural and small town America. As night falls in his “Route 66” print, a young boy admires a motorcycle outside Bill and Bob’s Service Station and dreams of having one of his own someday. The print is matted and framed.
